September (1/2) Dump featuring Colds and Festivals

So, before we discuss anything that happened in the second half of September, let's look forward to October and November. First of all, welcome to spooky season.

Second of all, welcome to election season. Early voting for the midterms starts October 14 in Shelby County. Here is a full list of locations and hours: https://www.electionsshelbytn.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/EV-Locations-11.3.26-Election-with-hours-8.5X11-9.17.26.pdf.

Please make a plan to vote. I would say I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote, but I do care. There are certain people that I do not want running my city, my state, or my country. Furthermore, for everyone over the age of eighteen, voting is your civic duty. If you don't vote, you can't complain.

Anyway, back to September.

I got back from Los Angeles. Got sick the next weekend, as one does. I still feel sick to be honest. I took one day off of school, but otherwise I've been completely booked. Work, other work, classes. It is never-ending and I am excited for fall break the week after next.

But I did have a lovely time when Rachel came to visit, and we took in the festivals of fall in Memphis. We had to tickets to a show that got rescheduled for December, so instead we did the Pink Palace Crafts Festival and the Asian Night Market at the Agricenter. Many things were bought and the thankfully pleasant weather was enjoyed. Stormy was excited to have a buddy.

And that's it. Hold your kids accountable for their actions. Hold yourself and your friends accountable for their actions. Make good choices. Have a great month.
