20 Days Out

I am twenty days out from flying to Philadelphia for staging. I'm incredibly excited, and I'm working to get through my to-do list before the day arrives. In addition, I've been doing some reading on Rwanda. Right now, I'm reading Remaking Rwanda and Rwanda, Inc. Both focus on Rwanda after the genocide, and how the devastated country became the nation on-the-brink of something important it is today. The two books have different viewpoints about the country's post-genocide development, and it will be interesting see the country up close.

For this trip however, I felt we spent too much time doing beach like activities on the coast of Australia when we could have been exploring the Outback or spending more time in New Zealand. That's why I went early, to go to the Outback region and see Uluru. And that being said, EF was very helpful when organizing my earlier flights. In addition, some of beach time was taken up with activities that were listed as optional excursions (a cruise of Whitsunday Island and a rainforest tour), but if you didn't do them you were basically...
