So, I'm pretty sure February didn't start until February 6th, which was the first day we went back to school after the winter weather. February is also (technically) a short month. Despite that, like January 2026, February lasted approximately 84 days.
I did not get out much, and my life was a cycle of school-tutor-exercise-repeat. And that's fine. I want to get out more in March and with Spring Break, I should have time to do so.
Three thoughts from February though.
1. During my winter weather induced boredom, I made a Hinge profile. And then a Bumble profile. I have thoughts. Many, many thoughts. I will keep said thoughts private until I decide I am done with the apps.
2. Public education is important. Not caring about public education and brushing it off, to me, shows you do not care about the community. And the unpaid labor of public school teachers keeps society going in many ways.
3. The Olympics were great. I really only feel patriotic during the Olympics and, even more specifically, only when the US women are competing. Good thing they won 2/3 of Team USA's medals.
Anyway, happy early Spring Break to my fellow educators. It's basically summer.
Enjoy these animal pictures, including those from my brief visit to the new cat cafe in Southhaven.
